The Mag 107

Well ... a new Sunday to write a haiku to accompany a picture as published today on Magpie Tales. Last week I couldn't write a haiku for the picture, but this week's picture is lovely ... so let's do it.



What do I see? I see a guy standing for a picture of a woman's face ... her eyes staring at him. What does this picture ... bring to me ... how to write a haiku that can accompany this picture.

mysterious eyes
working like a magnet
I am possessed 


I am possessed
through the eyes of my girl
nailed to the ground


nailed to the ground
I wonder what she's doing with her
mysterious eyes

This is called a cascading haiku. It's a haiku form I am exploring.

    I have never heard of this kind of haiku
    does this not diminish moment?

    but as a poem...I liked how it tumbled stanza to stanza

    I like the "cascading haiku" - I haven't seen that before! It definitely brings an extra amount of "flow" to your words.
