September Heights, day 12 Rain

Inspired by the theme at

Today's prompt is Rain a wonderful prompt, because we are entering autumn and in that season rain falls are very common and often accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds. At least ... in my country.

autumn has come
every day heavy rain falls
leaves tolling around

leaves tolling around
covering the streets and gardens
their sweet perfume

their sweet perfume
of dead and decomposing
autumn has come

See you all tomorrow.

  2. Love how you contrasted sweet perfume with death and decomposition, though fallen leaves do have that nice smell. I really enjoyed this.

  4. I love the first, and though the cascade works seamlessly, I feel the first stands on its own! :) Beautiful.
