For Haiku Heights' prompt 'shroud' I have composed this new haiku.
beneath the shroud

everlasting life

I love this haiku on shroud. I think this one is one of my masterpieces (how immodest for a haiku poet).
See you next week.
This is amazing ... you have really hit the right notes here !!!
ReplyDeleteI like the travels to the stars too ~
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend ~
Ah, I see you know Egyptian mythology. Nice one.
ReplyDeleteBefore I wrote my haiku for this challenge, I almost gave reverence to the ancient pharaohs. There's a lot of interesting facts out there about them and the garments they wore during burial ceremonies especially, but I couldn't make it work.. You did an excellent job with this!! I'd say it's brilliant! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful. The Egyptians truly believed they were going to the to the star Orion via the milky way, by bark on the holy river in the sky. Love it !
ReplyDeleteI would love to travel to the stars! Well done, haiku master!
ReplyDeleteVery nice. A pharaoh was not the first on my mind.
ReplyDeletePharao, was unexpected and unique take on the prompt.
ReplyDeleteTravel beyond the body. What a concept. This haiku rocks.
ReplyDeleteYou are too modest. Not only is this is your masterpiece it's really really good!
ReplyDeleteVery nice liking your theme
ReplyDeleteI do think it is a great use of the prompt!
ReplyDeleteMay you be whisked along on your journey, star traveler!
