I found the following synonyms: ability, bearing, cool, courage, patience, strength and guts. I will not use them all, but I have a vision for writing a haiku.
bearing the cross
along the Via Dolorosa -
spring has come
spring has come
her patience was strong
during the winter
during the winter
nature is growing in strength
to bloom again in spring
to bloom again in spring
we need the strength of who was
bearing the cross
Have a good weekend.

All good ~ love your second one ~ much said there ~ thanks, namaste, ^_^
I really like your first one, with the traditional kireji (-) and the clever and meaningful end line!
Not only beautiful in form but full of meaning....I like the bearing of the cross and being carried away by His strength and love
"Kireji" is a new term for me, Bruce Miller, and even after reading about it online, I'm not sure I understand what it is...but I'll keep pondering!
Meanwhile, I agree with your analysis of the first in the set.
Perfect for the coming Easter.
Timely and beautifully written.
i like the third best
two senryu dedicated to the novelist
"during the winter
nature is growing in strength
to bloom again in spring"
This has deep thoughts, Chev!. It is relevant in working out strategies. During a lull in demand, we must double our efforts not relaxed. Just so we're prepared and 1 up when opportunities appear later! Great!

Beautiful and timely lines. I really enjoy your Haiku.
Beautifully written. Enjoyed them all.
First one is my favorite - before I have read the whole riddle. The final line of the first haiku is very meaningful. Apart from that, I find this chain of haikus very appropriate with the coming Easter.
Wow! It's amazing this succession of four haikus! The last one is my favourite. Thank you for sharing them!
These are all beautiful, but I especially love the first and last. Well done!
