Haiku Heights April Challenge, day 21 "serendipity"

Day 21 of the Haiku Heights April Challenge is on. The prompt for today is serendipity I didn't know this word or it's meaning. So I had to search for the meaning and maybe some synonyms for it. I ran into the following meaning 'accidental discovery', (in dutch we say per ongeluk, toevallig) I found also a few synonyms for serendipity. E.g. blessing, good luck and good fortune. Well I now know the meaning of serendipity and i will try to write a few haiku with it.

Haiku Heights April Challenge, day 20 "renovation"

Today's my birthday, I am almost 50 (next year) time to renovate?

Day 20 of the Haiku Heights April Challenge. The prompt for today is renovation. What does this mean? Make old things new I think and beautiful. Is this also something for a human?

almost fifty
time to renovate?
I don't think so

I don't think so
feeling good and looking good
the years will come

the years will come
and it doesn't matter to me
I feel young

I feel young
writing haiku, enjoy life very much
almost fifty

See you tomorrow again. For another day of the Haiku Heights April Challenge.

Haiku Heights April Challenge, day 19 "Honeybees"

Another day in haiku paradise of Haiku Heights. Today the prompt is "honeybees". This week I heard a terrible story about honeybees. All over the world they are dying in great groups. Science tries to find the reason, but 'till now they haven't found a reason for it. So today's contribution to the Haiku Heights April Challenge is a sort of memorial haiku for the Honeybees.

all over the world
honeybees are dying -
flowers never bloom again

flowers never bloom again
Mother Earth's face will be
colorless

colorless
no more fruits to eat
all over the world

Credits: Honeybee
See you tomorrow.

PS. They have found the cause of the increase of dying honeybees. Clicl on the subscript under the picture and read it for yourself.

Haiku Heights April Challenge, day 17 "wonder"

Also posted for: we write poems

We write poems

Wonder the prompt for today. What's wonder, is it a wonder? Jesus did wonders, but what are wonders? We are living in a wonderful world. It's a miracle ...

wonderful spring
nature's coming to life
colors Mother Earth

it's a wonder
winter departed again
cherry blossoms bloom

miracles happen
in the tiniest things
daisies blooming

it's a miracle
to see how nature comes to life
every day again

See you again tomorrow.

Haiku Heights April Challenge, day 16 "being"

Day 16 of the Haiku Heights April Challenge, we are on our way for the second part of the challenge. So we have still 15 days to go. Today's prompt being is a nice one. I think I can write a few haiku on that theme.

Let's go doing it ....

Haiku Heights April Challenge, day 15 "alive"

I am in the nightshift so on this day 15 I will also write the contributions for  day 13 (warmth) and 14 (aura) .But nevertheless I don't quit of course. The prompt for today is alive and that's an understandable word for me. So this day I could write a bit relaxed and easy. Well ... it wasn't easy, but a lot easier as e.g. coherent as we had on April 12th.

April 13th: Warmth

compassionate
smiling Buddha on His way
to enlightenment

to enlightenment
I hope I will succeed
through writing haiku

through writing haiku
I can feel the warmth of nature
deep within me

deep within me
writing haiku for the world
compassionate

April 14th: Aura

circle of light
a
round all nature
strong energy field

strong energy field
I can feel her strenght struggling
for her life

for her life
still good memories of youth
her heart cries

her heart cries
only child parted from her
dying all alone

dying all alone
with a smile on her face
circle of light

April 15th: Alive

cherry trees blossoming
nature is coming to life
in bright sunlight

in bright sunlight
the sunflowers look like real suns
what a sight!

what a sight
waves rolling over each other
breaking on the beach

breaking on the beach
a sailing ship stranded
in the spring storm

in the spring storm
the fragile young flowers
cherry trees blossoming

Well it wasn't easy to write such a long series of haiku, but I have catched up. See you tomorrow.
