This blog is about haiku. A classical haiku counts 5-7-5 syllables. Chèvrefeuille (the pseudonym of Kristjaan Panneman, a Dutch haiku poet) however writes his haiku in the Kanshicho-style. In the Kanshicho-style the classical syllable count isn't used. Matsuo Basho (1644-1694), a haiku poet, wrote his haiku in Kanshicho-style for several years, but he returned to the classical way of haiku writing. !!! Anonymous comments will be seen as SPAM !!!.

Tackle It Tuesday, "paint the picture"
Dear Haijin,
I hope you all had a wonderful week. I certainly had a nice week it was a nice week with lots of sunshine (but also a lot of rain) and warm weather. This weeks challenge for Tackle It Tuesday is "paint the picture".
I will challenge you to write a haiku (classical or non-classical) with a picture as inspiration.
Maybe you remember the haiku challenge of SiS ... in that challenge we had to write sometimes a haiku with a picture as inspiration ... well this is the same.
This is the picture:
This weeks Tackle It Tuesday ends on Monday July 16th 23.59 PM.
Let the picture inspire you, enjoy the fun ... write your haiku right from your heart.
Please leave a comment after posting ... thank you for being part of Tackle It Tuesday.

What a wonderful picture! However, I use only my own photos on my blog, so here is my paint-the-picture poem:
circle of prayer—
pilgrim in the labyrinth
sighing step by step

The picture looks like the inside of Saint Maurice's monastery in canton du Valais in Switzerland. Beautiful!
Thanks for your wonderful posts on Tackle It Tuesday. They're all well written.
As far as I know there is no problem with the linky widget Loredana. Maybe it takes more time as usual.
Greetings dear friends,
Ch`evrefeuillee

Just checking to see if we have a prompt for this current Tuesday? I hope so!! :)
Are you no longer doing Tackle It Tuesday? if you are would you mind posting a word 'theme', 'prompt' for the next week so we would have time to work on our haiku and be able to post it even if you haven't put up your Tackle It Tuesday yet?
