I didn't really know what to do with this prompt, but I have given it a try. After all I think I did succeed this challenge.

This is one of the haiku which I have written for a new poetry book.

I just returned from my holiday to Turkey, so I wasn't in the position to write a haiku on the prompt "impossible". I know the weekly (on saturdays) challenge for october 8 has past by, but I love to share the next haiku with you.

impossible dream
wandering to the rising sun -
a heavy rainstorm


It was a beautiful day in Turkey, but it was raining real hard and we couldn't go to the eastern beach.

I love to share with you already my entrance haiku for the next day (september 30), because I am going on a trip without laptop or PC.

The prompt for september 30 is free so I have chosen one of my older haiku, it was written in the Spring of 2010'

the cooing of pigeons
between blooming cherry trees --
the cool rain

Another Haiku Heights Challenge

The prompt for september 28 is CHARM, again a difficult one. Because it has so much different meanings. So it was 'again' a struggle to write a haiku, but I belief I succeeded.

with his charm

the little boy is not afraid

to go to sleep

In this haiku CHARM refers to a teddybear.

Vandaag staat voor de Haiku Heights challenge het onderwerp 'evenwicht', lastig om daar een haiku over te schrijven, maar ik ga het toch proberen.

op een poot staat de Lepelaar

Haiku heights is een erg leuke (engelstalige) haikublog waar op dit moment een 'uitdaging' plaats vindt om 30 dagen lang, elke dag een haiku te schrijven met een onderwerp dat gegeven wordt.
