THURSDAY POETS RALLY

A new challenge. The Thursday Poets Rally, part of The Poetry Palace, invited me to join.

The Poetry Palace

Cranes fly
through the evening clouds
what a sight

A lonely flower
my companion
for one night

At sunrise
the sound of church bells -
my morning prayer

Come On! Travel to the The Poetry Palace and look for yourself. Maybe you will join us too?!

Thank you for your kind comment. The lonely flower is the first haiku ever which I wrote in English, with that one I became an international known haiku poet. It is still one of my favorites.

Very cool. The flower and church bells imagery definitely stand out in this sparse verse. Well written!

Thanks for all your nice comments. Haiku is really my passion and I hope there will come a day that my haiku are just like the haiku of Matsuo Basho (1644-1694) my great rolemodel (and haikumaster).
