This blog is about haiku. A classical haiku counts 5-7-5 syllables. Chèvrefeuille (the pseudonym of Kristjaan Panneman, a Dutch haiku poet) however writes his haiku in the Kanshicho-style. In the Kanshicho-style the classical syllable count isn't used. Matsuo Basho (1644-1694), a haiku poet, wrote his haiku in Kanshicho-style for several years, but he returned to the classical way of haiku writing. !!! Anonymous comments will be seen as SPAM !!!.

Nice idea, except for the serpent:)
I, too, think of tropical islands as paradise. Most are so beautiful. I like your haiku today.

Incredibly written. The essence says it all :)
Like the Tropical picture and topical haiku!
P.S. Hey, tell the Tiger that serpents represent wisdom & creativity. They've gotten a bad rap cuz they look so vile and creepy.
Garden of Eden and a tropical paradise? whereabouts is the superlike button?!
indeed a paradise...beautiful take...
Oh, you bring us to a nice place of dreams today! Beautiful picture. Of course, when you actually go to such a place, there are other, more unpleasant things to see and experience there :-)
We make our own paradises wherever we are...if we can...
Three Islands
