Haiku My Heart

It's a long time ago that have posted a haiku for Haiku My Heart, but I have to share this haiku somewhere ....

close to my heart
memories of my joyful youth
on a sacred place

on a sacred place
hands before my face
tears on her grave

Credits: Fresias

tears on her grave -

the sweet perfume of fresias
her beloved flower

her beloved flower
every anniversary of her death
a fresh bouquet

Isn't it a sweet, sweet scented flower? I can smell her perfume. Triggers memories of my grandmother.

Namaste

PS.: If you like writing haiku maybe Carpe Diem's Daily Haiku Meme is something for you.

I can tell you miss your grandmother terribly, as I also miss mine. May we both find some measure of joy in the memories of our grandmothers that we hold dear.
