Haiku Heights April Challenge, day 5 "waves"

It's really a challenge to write a haiku (or senryu) every day. But I am a challenger so I have to go on. Today the prompt is waves in my country (The Netherlands) we are living with the sea so this must be an easy one.

waves breaking down
rolling on the deserted beach -
thundering breaker

thundering breaker
seagulls crying high in the sky
searching for food

searching for food
between the garbage
waifs and strays

waifs and strays
seeking warmth together
this cold winter night

this cold winter night
a thunderstorm scourges the beach
waves breaking down

Well ... enjoy the read.

You have painted a picture for us. I hear the sound of the waves and the gulls screaching too. I love this form of haiku and you have done it so well here. Thank you.

You have taken a special attention to the cascading Haiku ... lovely series with delightful imagery. Nicely done, as usual. :)
