This blog is about haiku. A classical haiku counts 5-7-5 syllables. Chèvrefeuille (the pseudonym of Kristjaan Panneman, a Dutch haiku poet) however writes his haiku in the Kanshicho-style. In the Kanshicho-style the classical syllable count isn't used. Matsuo Basho (1644-1694), a haiku poet, wrote his haiku in Kanshicho-style for several years, but he returned to the classical way of haiku writing. !!! Anonymous comments will be seen as SPAM !!!.

Indeed it is a nice one. Thoughtful and evocative.
Thank you for visiting my haikublog. Thanks for your comment.
you think?!! you are a master.....the expanse of night sky certainly is humbling...
Yes, we are humbled by the greatness of stars that very well influence our fate! Nice write, Kris!
lovely haiku ~ we are indeed 'small' compared to the universe ~thanks, namaste, (A Creative Harbor)
I certainly agree that is a nice one. Truly the vast universe is enough to humble the most mighty king.
A VERY nice one!
I love looking up at the stars, wondering what is out there. Lovely haiku.
Indeed so, Kris. I do the same. Bow and respect!
It is not a bad idea to bow before something so much greater than we are!
Everywhere the Stars
Stars have a way of making us feeling that way. Their awesome! One of God's magnificent creations! :-)
